Privacy Policy

This policy explains what DIVA Flight School Sacramento LLC, trading as DIVA Flight School Sacramento, does with the information you give us. The short version: we use it to get back to you about flying, and nothing else. We are a flight school at Sacramento McClellan Airport — your request comes to us directly, and we’re the ones who contact you.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t hand it to other flight schools or to advertisers.

What we collect

We collect two kinds of information.

Information you send through a form. Depending on the form, that’s your name, phone number, email address, and the details of your request — how many passengers are flying, the dates you’d prefer, your training goal, when you’d like to start, your preferred language, your citizenship status as a category (US citizen, green card holder, visa holder, or outside the US), and anything you write in the message field.

We never ask for, and you should never send us:

  • medical records or details about your health,
  • passport, visa, green card, or SEVIS numbers,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • credit card numbers or bank account details.

If you send any of that to us anyway, we’ll delete it.

Usage data. Basic analytics about how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type — collected through Google Analytics 4. We also use Google Search Console, which reports on search traffic in aggregate. We don’t use any of it to identify individual visitors.

We do not run a Meta Pixel, call tracking, or advertising remarketing on this site.

How we use it

We use what you send us to:

  • get back to you about your request,
  • schedule a discovery flight or a lesson, and confirm the time, the instructor, and the aircraft,
  • answer questions about training, pricing, gift certificates, and what to expect,
  • take payment for a flight or a gift certificate once you have agreed to it with us,
  • keep a record of the request and our conversation about it,
  • understand which pages on the site are useful, so we can improve them,
  • meet our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

If you checked the optional box asking for occasional updates, we may also email you about flight training and special offers. You can unsubscribe from those at any time, and unsubscribing doesn’t affect anything else.

We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t share it with other flight schools, lead brokers, or data brokers, and we don’t use it for third-party advertising.

Who has access

  • Our staff. The people at DIVA Flight School Sacramento who schedule flights and answer inquiries.
  • The companies that run our tools. We use outside providers for website hosting, email, analytics, and payment processing. They handle your information only to provide those services to us, and they aren’t allowed to use it for their own purposes.
  • When the law requires it. We may disclose information if we’re required to by law, or to protect the safety of people or property.

That’s the whole list. Your request doesn’t go to any other flight school.

Payments

There is no shop on this site and nothing to check out of. When a flight or a gift certificate is agreed with us, we send a secure payment link, and card details are entered into the payment provider’s own fields and go to them, not to us — we never see or store your full card number. ACH bank transfers are handled the same way; Zelle and cash payments are recorded manually in our accounts. We keep a record of what you paid for, when, and for how much.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies for two things: making the site work (necessary cookies) and understanding how the site is used (analytics cookies). There is no basket and no account, so nothing is stored to keep either. You can decline non-essential cookies without losing access to anything you can read on this site, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Calls, texts, and how to stop them

When you send us a form, you’re asking us to get back to you — so we will, using the method you chose. If you picked Text, we’ll text you about your request; standard message and data rates may apply.

To stop text messages, reply STOP at any time. To stop calls, tell us on the call or write to us at info@sacramentoflight.com. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of them.

We do not record telephone calls. If that ever changes, we will introduce a clear notice at the start of the call and obtain the consent California law requires before recording anything, and we will update this policy first. We will not record covertly.

Opting out of calls, texts, or marketing emails doesn’t cancel your request — we’ll simply reach you another way.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you’re a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you, how we use it, and who we share it with, and to request a copy.
  • Delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to the exceptions the law allows.
  • Correct personal information that’s inaccurate.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights — we won’t refuse you service or charge you more.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we don’t knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@sacramentoflight.com with the subject "Privacy request," or call (916) 907-5812. We’ll need to confirm your identity before we act on the request, and we’ll respond within the time the law requires. You may also use an authorized agent.

Our minimum age for a discovery flight is 12, and anyone under 18 flies only with a consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to info@sacramentoflight.com and we’ll delete it.
